CNN is reporting that hip-hop rapper 50 Cent, 37-year-old, also known as Curtis Jackson is facing five criminal charges, including one count of domestic violence and four counts of vandalism.

According to the CNN report, 50 Cent, a hip-hop rapper, actor, and author of an anti-bullying book was accused on Wednesday by Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer of kicking Daphne Joy, the mother of his child. The rapper is also accused of ransacking her bedroom during an argument at her Los Angeles condo.

According to her website, Daphne Joy who was born in the Philippines played a principal mermaid in 2011's "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides." She's also had roles on TV's "CSI: Las Vegas," "Criminal Minds," "Curb Your Enthusiasm," and "Wild 'N Out." 

"During an argument, Jackson allegedly began destroying the female's property," the prosecutor said. "Allegedly when the female locked herself in her bedroom, Jackson kicked-open the bedroom door and kicked her, causing an injury," said Feuer.

The estimated property damaged by 50 Cent is approximately $7,100. He reportedly left the scene before police arrived. Jackson’s arraignment is July 22nd at the Van Nuys Courthouse, located in Van Nuys, CA. If convicted on all charges, the maximum punishment is five years in jail and $46,000 in fines.
