Some are asking if Arizona Governor Jan Brewer was drunk when she was seen wagging her finger in the face of President Obama during the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport greeting.
Video has surfaced showing Brewer and President Obama speaking intensely right after he disembarked from his plane. Immediately there after, Brewer is seen wagging her finger in the President’s face.
Speaking to a reporter yesterday, Brewer said the President was in Arizona because during an earlier conversation she had invited him to hear about her administration's achievements and to visit the U.S.-Mexico border, which has been a point of friction between the two because of illegal immigration issue. Brewer also added, "He [President Obama] was a little disturbed about my book".
The White House had called Brewer out for lying in her recently published political memoir, "Scorpions for Breakfast," in which she mischaracterized a 2011 White House meeting between her and the President. After that meeting, Brewer told the press that the meeting with the President was cordial, but in her book, she said President Obama lectured her in the Oval Office and that she felt he was condescending toward her. Brewer also accused the President, in her book, of walking away from her while she was still talking.
