The U.S. House Republican Misogynistic Protect Life Act Bill

If Pennsylvania Republican Joe Pitts bill becomes a success, you will see frequent scenes such as this will black and minority women lying face down on thr floor in emergency wards around the nation.

On Thursday, the U.S. House passed a bill that would amend the health care law and according to them, “will bar federal funding for health plans that provide abortion services”.

The news of the passage of the Protect Life Act bill made me so damn mad and nauseous that I ran to the window (figuratively) and screamed: "I'm mad as hell, and I won't take it anymore." While these Republicans bozos are spending time attacking minority women and playing politics with their lives, they should instead focus on the jobs they claimed would be their first priority.

The Protect Life Act also known as Pitts Bill, named after its sponsor, Pennsylvania Republican Joe Pitts, was unnecessary. Everybody in America knows or should know that there is already an existing law that bars any taxpayer money from underwriting abortion procedures.

During the health care debate, President Barack Obama signed an executive order stating no federal funds could be used in the new health care exchanges created in the law. These bozos are whitewashing the real issue which is politics while camouflaging it with life or death of an unborn child.

The so-called Protect Life Act bill adds a new restriction. Currently, hospitals that receive federal funds but don't have facilities to treat women who may need emergency abortion services are directed to transfer

Pennsylvania Republican Congressman Joe Pitts sponsored the Protect Life Act. His bill gathered overwhelming Republican support. Two Republicans voted against it and 15 Democrats voted in favor.

those patients to a health care facility that can treat them. Pitts Bill removes that requirement. The passing of the so-called Protect Life Act bill means that my poor and suffering African-American sisters will literally die on the floor of emergency wards. Doctors and nurses now have the right to literally do nothing while stepping over the bodies of African-American and minority women as they lie dying on hospital floors around the country.  What is this, the new Jim Crow?

If your mother, sister, daughter  or wife was rush to a nearby hospital with the need for an emergency abortion service which was triggered either by Preeclampsia or Pulmonary hypertension,  Pennsylvania Republican Joe Pitts and his “do nothing” fellow Republicans are saying that the hospital should do nothing and leave your relative alone to literally lay there and die.

Preeclampsia is a condition where a pregnant woman’s blood pressure rises and can lead to seizure, stroke, multiple organ failure and subsequent death. Pulmonary hypertension is a condition that the  American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association’s joint guidelines explicitly states necessitates the termination of a pregnancy to avoid maternal death. These are just two deadly threats that would warrant an emergency abortion.

Earlier, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi condemned the bill. She argued that if it passed, "women can die on the floor and health care providers do not have to intervene."

So far, I like what I hearing from the White House with regards to Pitts’ Bill. On Wednesday, the White House issued a veto threat on the so-called Protect Life Act.  The Senate is not expected to take up the bill.
