Obama’s sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, tells birthers to get over it!

Even Maya Kassandra Soetoro-Ng has had enough of those birthers’ dumb claims that President Barack Obama is not a United States citizen. Named after one of American's famous poets, Maya Angelou, Soetoro-Ng is the younger maternal sister of the president.

While speaking with Piers Morgan on his CNN show to promote her new children's book, "Ladder to the Moon," Soetoro-Ng said that officials have verified President Obama's birth records, She also added, “I think it is time for people to put that to bed," "Put it to rest completely, and focus on what they can do to help" this country.

Soetoro-Ng, 41-year-old, and the president are sister and brother; from the same mother, Ann Dunham. Soetoro-Ng's father is Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian businessman. She and her older brother, Obama, spent several years together in Indonesia and in Hawaii. Her mother later returned to Indonesia with her.

In fact, the former director of Hawaii's Department of Health, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, said again recently that the whole conspiracy theory around Obama's birth has become "ludicrous at this point."

"[Obama’s birth certificate] is real, and no amount of saying it is not, is going to change that," Fukino told NBC News in a rare interview. "They're going to question the ink on which it was written or say it was fabricated," said Fukino. "The whole thing is silly."

The birthers have tried in the past to exploit the Supreme Court route to no avail. Donald Trump, a so-called Republican presidential candidate has now joined the bandwagon to exploit the ignorance of the brithers in order to gain some political traction in his bid “to nowhere” for the White House.

What are the Birthers Claims?

The answer to the question, “What are the Birthers Claims,” is “Absolutely Nothing!” To give them the benefit of doubt, they claimed that President Obama was born in Kenya or Indonesia; his birth certificate is a forgery; and he has dual American-British citizenship at birth because of his father's Kenyan heritage and therefore is not a "natural born" citizen. They also claimed that immediately after his birth in Kenya or Indonesia, his mother filed live birth announcements in two Hawaiian newspapers announcing his 1961 birth while she was out of the country.

There is no need to sugarcoat the birthers claims any longer; this racist group only came into existence because they could not get over the fact that America's 44^th President is a Black man. Their motive is purely out of a narrow-minded bigot and racist nature and they need to get over it!
