Nelson Mandela Foundation launches 46664 Clothing Line
The Nelson Mandela Foundation has announced a soon-to-be-launched 46664 clothing line.
Achmat Dangor, a member of the foundation's board of directors encouraged people to buy the new clothing line by saying, “When you buy a 46664 shirt, you are not just buying apparel, you are investing in a process that will help spread the legacy of Nelson Mandela by supporting the long-term sustainability 46664,” he said. “You will also be empowering young people in communities out there and creating a platform for global change.”
The official launch of the clothing line will be in August, with a store located in Joburg, South Africa and other retail stores around South Africa. Stuttafords has become a key retailer, and an online shop will provide access for a broader market. The 46664 clothing line is partnering with Brand ID, Wayne Bebb and Seardel.
46664 was the prison number (prisoner number 466 of 1964) assigned to Mandela when he was incarcerated for life on Robben Island, Cape Town, South Africa.
