One of Chicago’s mayoral candidates, Rahm Emanuel, was kicked off the ballot by an Illinois appellate court panel.

The petitioners, Walter P. Maksym, Jr., and Thomas L. McMahon filed written objections to the candidacy of the respondent, Rahm Emanuel, who seeks to be a candidate for Mayor of the City of Chicago in the Municipal General Election to be held in February 22, 2011.

Emanuel is expected to appeal to the Illinois Supreme Court.
