Jurors were unable to reach a verdict on any of the four counts against former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s older brother, Robert.
Prosecutors said they made the decision based on the brother's less central role in the alleged schemes. The problem here is didn’t the prosecutors realized from day one that Robert had play a less central role in the alleged scheme?
Federal Judge James Zagel said today that he'll set a retrial date for early January for former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich. Zagel said the trial won't begin any earlier than Jan. 4 but didn't indicate a time. The former governor received one guilty count and 23 counts deadlocked.
