The Police Department of Virginia Beach, Virginia is reporting that a birthday party being held for Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick at a local nightclub,Guadalajara on 4611 Columbus Street, broke out into a gunfight around 2:15 a.m. On last Friday. Several news outlets in the Virginia Beach area are identifying the shooting victim as Quanis Phillips, one of the co-defendants in the federal dog fighting case that landed Vick an 18-month federal prison sentence. It was also reported that Phillips was treated at a local hospital and released.
A Virginia Beach Police Department spokesman said Vick and his brother Marcus were at the party, but security camera showed them leaving in a black Mercedes just before 2 a.m., There were about 300 people at the party, which started at 10 p.m. Thursday.
The 30 year-old, birthday boy remains on federal probation after serving recent prison time for dog fighting conviction.
