Charlie Crist Turns in his GroupThink Membership Card

I do not know Gov. Charlie Crist personally, but I want to imagine that he has been getting lots of good night sleep lately. Since he turned in his membership card to the GOP he starting to appeared relaxed, relieved, sincere and confident. Crist is no longer a Republican. Crist just announced that he will be running as an independent Candidate in Florida's senatorial race. The onetime hopeful Republican party presidential candidate for the 2012 election has fallen from grace. The party's relationship with Crist has gotten so sour that the party  auctioned portraits of him on eBay to the highest bidder. The party has literally white-out Crist's name from every Republican stationary on earth.

SO what crime did Gov. Crist commit you might asked? Well, the Governor is guilty for appearing with the President of the United States of America. Crist appeared at a rally in Fort Myers on February 9, 2009, to welcome President Obama to Florida. Crist's mindset was to get close to President Obama so he could get some of the stimulus money as soon as possible. During President Obama's visit, the “party of NO” also known as the Republican party did not like the fact that Crist hugged and patted the president on his shoulder. The GOP interpreted Crist's behavior as breaking rank and not complying with the party's “so say one so say all” Groupthink agenda.

From every indication, it appears that Charlie Crist's decision to run for the U.S. Senate as an independent candidate will help the Democrats chances in the November congressional elections. An African American, U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek, is the Democratic candidate.
