Carrie Underwood Two-Peat for Entertainer of the Year Award

The talented country singer, songwriter and former American Idol Carrie Marie Underwood

Congratulations to the talented country singer, songwriter and former American Idol Carrie Marie Underwood for her history making performance. Carrie made history by becoming the only female in the show’s history to win Entertainer of the Year not only twice, but back-to-back.

During her acceptance remark at the 45th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, Carrie said, “I could never have wished for, asked for, dreamt of anything like this…Thank you, fans. I love you so much. Thank you, country music." The 27 year-old performer rose to fame after becoming the winner of the fourth season of American Idol.

Reba McEntire did an excellent job while hosting as master of ceremonies for her twelfth year. The 45th annual Academy of Country Music Awards was held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 18, 2010.
