It is no secret that the blogosphere erupted with rumors after Whitney Houston announced the cancellation of several of her European tours due to illness. She was scheduled to perform in Paris, Manchester and Glasgow this week. She dropped the shows at the last minute after being hospitalized in Paris for an upper respiratory infection. Her tour will resume on April 13 in England.

It appeared that the drug rumors has gotten back to the 46 year-old superstar diva as indicative of the below comment from her website – whitneyhouston.com:

Officially diagnosed by doctors in Paris with an upper respiratory infection, she has responded to reports that she’s in a downward drug spiral. Whitney calls such reports "ridiculous" and says, "At this point, I just don't respond. I don't even read it." Her tour will resume on April 13 in Birmingham, England, and will continue through June. "I'm doing what I love to do, which is singing. The best part is seeing all of my fans around the world."
