K2 – Fake Synthetic Marijuana – Blonde and Standard Packages
K2, a “fake weed” and a marijuana look alike is a synthetic substance that is starting to show up around the Chicagoland area. Without an official chemical analysis of K2's content, some health professionals are saying that the "legal drug" has three times more potent than the THC in marijuana.
The average price of the product is $10 per gram, however, prices vary depending on the potency of the drug. It is also sold in different flavors, and grades. We obtained a picture of two kinds – each sold in 3-gram bags. One was the, Blonde, which has a citrus blend and cost twice as much as the Standard. The other was the Standard, which cost $15. Our sample package has a “Made In China,” stamp but we are not sure if all the K2 in the market originated from that country.
Although K2 is legal, the U.S. military has banned possession of it. The Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (FDA) website is classifying it as a "drug or chemical of concern." In mice, it can lead to a lower body temperature, partial paralysis and the temporary inability to feel pain, according to the DEA.
There is no data on the drug's toxicity or how long it stays in the body. K2 is not testing positive for the usual marijuana drug test.
As parents, it is very important that we build a strong relationship with our kids and talk to them about substance abuse — the earlier the better!
A recent study by the Parent's Resource Institute for Drug Education shows that students who are warned about drugs by their parents use them 30 percent less often than those who are not, and students who said their parents set "clear rules" regarding drugs used them 57 percent less than those whose parents did not.

Explain to me why people don't abuse drugs when it's readily available to them; example- Amsterdam. In addition, I feel that it is a shame that K2 with all it's harsh ingredients and no official chemical analysis can be legalized. JUST SAY "NO"
OR, i can just say “YES” and the government can back out of my own business, and so can you MsKimberly Donaldson. I really don’t need people telling me if what I do in my personal time that effects no one else is okay to do or not. They made weed illegal, so obviously people will look for other things.
If only we could follow Amsterdam’s example. Beautiful city, btw.
While it seems like a bad idea to let this go on, it technically doesn’t break any laws and has not been found to be harmful to our health. I’d be more concerned with my kids doing whip its with aerosol computer cleaner cans then experimenting with this stuff.
Robert you are sadly mistaken, there have already been deaths from this drug and it is VERY dangerous. We have no idea of the long term effects it can posses and it has already taken multiple lives.
I dont want to be that person who tell you what you can and cant put in your body because ultimately that is up to you, but this is very dangerous to smoke. Marijuana is 100% safer than this, no one has EVER died from it, bar none.
If you are thinking about trying this, please reconsider.

Prohibition is unconstitutional cognitive censorship and a huge waste of time and money. It does not work. I do wish people would be more careful though, especially my loved ones. My friends were telling me about some sort of blueberry K2 incense and I googled it and found out it is counterfeit. The list of fakes I found is scary long, . It’s worth checking out if you buy this or know someone who does. Stay safe…..
I most definitely feel there should be age restrictions, as there are, with tobacco and alcohol products, but really, what do they hope to accomplish by banning these chemicals? These guys claim to have k2 incense products that are legal in every single state, k2 incense so you see, these bans aren’t so effective are they?
