Chicago Bull’s former superstar Michael Jeffrey Jordan was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in a ceremony in Springfield, Massachusetts. Jordan, 46 year-old is considered to be the game’s greatest player. Jordan along with the supporting cast of Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman and others led the Chicago Bulls to six NBA titles before finishing with the Washington Wizards.

Under the dynamic leadership of the “Zen Master”, the man who steered Chicago through all six of those titles and also the man who has steered the Los Angeles Lakers to 4 of their 15 titles; Phil Jackson is considered the greatest coach in modern basketball history.

Other outstanding players that were also inducted into the 2009 class of the Basketball Hall of Fame included David Robinson, John Stockton, Jerry Sloan and C. Vivian Stringer.

Jordan was quick to honor his fellow inductees, saying: "Contrary to what you guys believe, it’s not just me going into the Hall of Fame." He also said, "It’s a group of us and I’m proud to be a part of them and, believe me, I’m going to remember them as much as they remember me."

Jordan also had a warning for pundits looking to find players in his image. “Don’t rush to find the next Michael Jordan –

there’s not going to be another Michael Jordan,” Jordan said during his remarks. "People say that I was the greatest who ever played the game, I cringe a little bit. I never played against Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, or Wilt Chamberlain," he added.

ESPN Sports is reporting that former Chicago Bulls general manager Jerry Krause boycotted Michael Jordan’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Friday because the Hall has not inducted Tex Winter. Winter, 87 year-old, is recognized as the person who created the Bull’s triangle offense.

"After Michael’s fourth year, we put in the triangle offense," Krause said. "That allowed players within that offense to post up and get isolations. "Michael didn’t have a post-up move at the time, so that summer he worked his butt off to learn how to post up a player. He worked so hard that he became an unstoppable offensive force, and also a better defensive player because he didn’t have to use as much energy on offense to score."
