T.I.’s sentence is the result of his October 2007 arrest for illegally attempting to purchase machine guns and silencers.
T.I. is not only a dumb M(*&^% F#@!%^ but was very stupid and irresponsible in his behavior, especially as an already convicted felon he was aware that he was not permitted by law to own any firearms. Actually, he was given a break and a slapped on the wrist compare to what other young brothers will similar crime would have gotten.
T.I. is sentenced to 366-days in prison, however if my calculation is correct he will be out of prison in less than a month and a half. He was credited for 305 days of home detention served.
According to T.I. during a press conference inside the courthouse., “Although I am not thrilled about my next year and a day, I am pleased that I am beginning the process of putting this all behind me,” “Thank you and I apologize to my family, to the young men, young women that I mentor. I hope that I can keep at least one, if not a million or more, from going down a similar path. I just want to say thank you.”
Meanwhile, on Sunday night, T.I. hosted what appeared to be a farewell party and performed to a packed crowd at the Atlanta’s Philips Arena. He was greeted by a welcoming crowd, and some members of the audience held up signs supporting him. It is reported that at times he was joined on stage by rapper Soulja Boy and by his five children and mother. Tickets for the show started at just $10, according to the arena, which called the event "T.I.’s Final Goodbye Bash."
