“I wish President Barack Obama would fail,” is one of the dumbest, most unpatriotic, un-American, hateful, undermining, and a perceived selfish white male sense of entitlement statement that I have ever heard against a president of the United States of America.
It would have been unthinkable for me to wish America’s only MBA president, George W. Bush, who is also the worst United States president in the last fifty years such evil and negative thoughts. I wanted President George W. Bush to succeed.
One of the most open and outspoken loser that is calling for President Obama to fail is Rush Limbaugh who has repeatedly said he wants President Obama to fail, as well as his administration and its agendas for economic and healthcare reform. Limbaugh also had the audacity to warn the British Prime Minister that if he keeps "slobbering" over President Obama, he will "come down with anal poisoning and may die from it." Limbaugh also said, "If Obama fails, America is saved.
Another loser is Louisiana’s Gov. Bobby Jindal, who state “It’s OK for Republicans to want President Obama to fail if they think he’s jeopardizing the country.”
The hypercritical irony is despite Bush’s many failed policies, Jindal and Limbaugh kept their behinds quiet and did not say a word apparently for fear of going against the Republican group principles, norms, and objectives.
Weighting in on this issue, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said, "It’s very clear, they’ve made a decision they want President Obama to fail," the Nevada Democrat told reporters on Tuesday.
Reid did not mention names, but said "there’s a significant number of Republicans out there who want the president to fail."
Well it doesn’t seem like all Republicans are adhering to the Republican Group Mentality. Gov. Mitt Romney (R) appears not to be reflecting the unanimous will of the group when he noted yesterday, that Republicans should not oppose President Obama as a reflex and should praise him when he succeeds.
Romney was speaking at the National Republican Senatorial Committee’s (NRSC) spring dinner, Romney was thick on criticism of Obama, but also said Republicans shouldn’t root against the man he might face in the 2012 presidential election.
After offering a few choice words for Obama’s early conduct in office, Romney suggested it’s OK to hope things go well under the new president.
“I also think its important for us to nod to the president when he’s right,” Romney said. “He will not always be wrong.”
Romney praised Obama for not pulling troops from Iraq haphazardly and for going after terrorists in Afghanistan and Pakistan. He also said Obama has been good at talking tough to the struggling auto industry.
Some of the problems we faced today are carried over from eight years of Bush’s failed policies. Therefore, if President Obama fails, we all will suffer one way or another.
