ESSENCE.COM: Bloggers have often said that you’re too “ghetto” to be a First Lady. How does that make you feel?
LISARAYE: I am not and never grew up in the ghetto. People need to get it right. I grew up on the Southside of Chicago. What people don’t realize is that my father was a multimillionaire who owned 12 hotels, motels, a steel mill, a radio station, a club, nursing home, and a law office. So I think it’s safe to say I’m a little above middle class and I’m a daddy’s girl. I make no apologies for loving the finer things in life or the men I choose to date. I don’t feel bad about the person I am. Now, I do have an edge, rawness and realness, and I can tell you I’m going to keep that. I’m one of those women who’s not to be messed with. I’m very opinionated and boisterous at times. I’m also kind and humble. I know when to fold and when to hold and that’s important. If my edge scares you, then you have a choice to remove yourself. Other than that, I’m very approachable, and when people meet me they always say, “You are so down to earth and nothing like I thought you were.”

Well the comment about her being approachable that is not SO! I said good morning to her @ all nude resort in Jamacia & she looked down on me and rolled her eyes but her assistant was very kind! I don’t take anything away from beautiful women but attitudes like that make them look evil, nasty & disrespectful. That’s not what surprised me it was when she got on stage @ one of the events @ the All NUDE resort to say “We should not act mean & nasty to each other we are all from America & need to get along!” I thought WOW! How two faced that was. It also could of been that she doesn’t appreciate the beauty of others because she feels she is the only beautiful woman God made!
IT DOES NOT matter where a person grew up or how much money they have! A person can have millions of dollars and still cary themselves as though they had never finished elementary school. Lisaraye is a beautiful woman with TERRIBLE SPEECH AND A HARD, ANGRY DEMANOR! That doesn't make her 'Real" as she calls it. I'm not sure what reality she thinks she's appealing to if that's being real. Being black does not mean that our "realness" comes from the street all the time. We are more than that? It's one thing to be ourselves, but an actor especially should take the time to class things up a little bit in fron of the camera from time to time. Ghetto or Class is a state of mind no matter how much money a person has and it is clear the Lisaraye's mind is in the Ghetto. Her hood rat demeanor does Not cause people to have more respect for her, even if she thinks she can't be messed with. If her father had millions of dollars, why didn't he send this woman to charm school?
I'M SORRY…….SHE IS AS MEAN AND GHETTO AS SHE LOOKS. LISARAYE..STOP BEING SO "REAL" AND BE MORE HUMBLE. LIKE IT OR NOT, YOU ARE GHEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTOOOOOOO! AT LEAST BEYONCE' WORKED ON HERSELF!

i don’t believe or even read anything about her being ghetto. this is the typical propaganda that white people put out and spread around. SHE IS BEAUTIFUL & CLASSY. Nothing but good old fashion JEALOUSY!
