The American author of a book attacking Barack Obama as unfit for the presidency was being deported from Kenya on Tuesday, a criminal investigations official said. Jerome Corsi is best known as the co-author of the book Unfit for Command with John E. O’Neill, which played a key role in the election year attack on the war record of Democratic Presidential hopeful John Kerry by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.

As the Republican attack dog, a racist conspiratorial crank and an anti-Obama point man, he also wrote the book "The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality." "The goal is to defeat Obama," Corsi told the New York Times. "I don’t want Obama to be in office."

Corsi was picked up by police Tuesday in Nairobi, Kenya for not having a work permit, said Carlos Maluta, a senior immigration official in charge of investigations.

Jerome Corsi was briefly detained at immigration headquarters before being brought to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for deportation, said Joseph Mumira, head of criminal investigations at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

Obama’s campaign spokesman Bill Burton said the campaign had no comment.

Of all places, Corsi had been scheduled to launch his book against Obama on Tuesday in Kenya. Corsi’s book claims the Illinois senator is a dangerous, radical candidate for president and includes innuendoes and false rumors — that he was raised a Muslim and attended a radical black church.

Barack’s father was a Harvard educated Kenyan economist. Barack the candidate is considered by many Kenyans as a native son and is very popular. Minibuses are emblazoned with his picture and vendors sell T-shirts bearing his image.

Obama’s Kenyan uncle, Said Obama, said he was unaware of Corsi’s detention and had no comment. A government spokesman did not return calls for comment.

According to a statement announcing Corsi’s visit, he arrived last week at the invitation of Christian missionaries concerned about the rise of Islam. Did the Christian missionaries think Corsi’s racist and one sided political book will in any way stop the rise of Islam or are they just a part of the anti-Obama moment?

Jerome Corsi must be an idiot, he is lucky the Mau-Mau secret society didn’t escort him.

  • Denise says:

Was he expecting a red carpet while in Kenya? He must be a dumb M&*%$@ F&*%$#.

He listed several false claims in relation to Kenya in his book – including that Mr Obama contributed $1m to Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga during Mr Odinga’s presidential campaign.

Mr Odinga is from the same Luo community as Mr Obama’s father.
