Patti Solis Doyle was Hillary Clinton’s former campaign manager. She was demoted mid-campaign by Hillary Clinton and replaced with Clinton’s longtime aide Maggie Williams
Solis Doyle is a native Chicagoan with deep ties to many of Obama senior aides. Solis Doyle is no longer on speaking terms with much of the Clinton inner circle, including the senator herself. Although she devoted her adult life to working for Clinton, Solis Doyle left the Clinton campaign surrounded by a cloud of acrimony, blamed by some close Clinton loyalists and reportedly Clinton herself for failing to keep the campaign in order heading into Iowa.
After she was let go, Solis Doyle had said she would travel with the campaign and remain on as an adviser, but Clinton effectively cut her off and she was not seen on the road again.
Some Clinton loyalists see the Patti Solis Doyle appointment as a slap in the face of Hillary Clinton and a zero chance of Clinton being considered as Obama’s Vice President.

I don’t believe Obama would choose Hilary Clinton as a running mate regardless of whom he selected to be Chief of Staff. I feel Patti Solis Doyle will make an excellent Chief of Staff.
